Sidhu Moosewala’s first song posthumously, SYL has been released on his YouTube channel. The song is written, sung and composed by the late singer himself. It is produced by MXRCI and the video and artworks are done by Navkaran Brar.
The song revolves around various issues reeling Punjab. Among them, it highlights, Satluj Yamana Link canal issue, Sikh prisoner and the recent agitation against the farm laws.
There are black and white visuals that show Punjab rivers, some shots from the yesteryears of Punjab where people can be seen revolting against various laws, a mention of 1984 genocide. The makers have also included short clips of Shidhu Moosewala.
It was on the fateful night of May 28 that Sidhu Moosewala was shot dead in Mansa. After his death, it was announced that all his unfinished work should be handed over to his father Balkaur Singh.
On June 8, in an emotional message during the bhog ceremony of Punjabi singer Shubhdeep Singh, his father Balkaur Singh said, “My son will remain connected to you through his songs. I will take inspiration from him.”
Gangste Monu Dagar admitted to having organized two shooters, Priyawarat and Ankit, on the bearings of Goldy Brar

Four accused in Sidhu Moosewala murder case were produced before a Mansa court today. Gangster Monu Dagar, a close associate of Goldy Brar and a prime suspect in the high profile murder case along with Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb Khan have been sent on 14-day judicial remand while one Manmohan Singh Mohna, who is accused of conducting recce of the slain singer during Punjab assembly elections, was sent to 3-day police remand.
Gangster Monu Dagar, a resident Sonepat, Haryana, Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb, both residents of Fatehabad, Haryana, were arrested by the police for allegedly conducting recce, harbouring the shooters, hatching conspiracy and providing logistic support to the shooters.
During his interrogation, Dagar is learnt to have confessed to having arranged two shooters, identified as Priyawarat and Ankit, both residents of Sonepat, on the directions of Goldy Brar. He is learnt to have also disclosed that Pawan Bishnoi and Naseeb had procured the Mahindra Bolero used in the incident from Sadul Shaher and handed it over to the shooters through a middleman identified as Keshav of Bathinda.
After bringing Manmohan Singh Mohna from jail on a production warrant, Mansa police had arrested him in the Sidhu Moosewala murder case and had also taken five-day police remand last week. Since, his police remand was getting over on June 22, he was produced in the court to get extension on police remand on Wednesday.
Mohna had allegedly done recce of Sidhu Moosewala before assembly elections in the state in January-February. As per the police, Mohna was the only suspect arrested so far who hailed from Mansa district–the place where the incident took place. Mohna is a resident of Ralla village in Mansa. The police said several cases had been registered against him and they have been trying to establish if he had any links with Lawrence Bishnoi and Goldy Brar.

Reportedly, Sidhu Moosewala SYL song will be focusing on the controversial Sutlej Yamuna Canal Dispute (Satluj Yamuna Link). SYL or Satluj Yamuna Link dispute is regarding sharing of river water. It emerged after Punjab was reorganised in 1966, and the state of Haryana was created.
The situation in India is beyond heartbreaking, said WHO chief Tedros Adhanom Ghebreyesus on Monday (April 26) as India recorded more than 3.5 lakh new cases of COVID-19. He said that the WHO was sending extra staff and supplies to help India fight the pandemic.
The Punjab government has ordered the closure of shops by 5 pm and extended the night curfew by two hours in an effort to curb the spread of the coronavirus. The decision was taken after a cabinet meeting on Monday.
